If you have a broken tooth or a large cavity and are struggling with throbbing pain, the answer could, in fact, be that you need a root canal. This major restorative dental treatment is undergone in the final effort to save a damaged tooth through removing the “root” of the tooth in addition to cleaning out the root’s “canals” and replacing with a filling material that will reinsure the tooth’s structure.
